A superb example of the Art Nouveau genre.
This French silver and etched crystal claret jug is superbly crafted by the makers, Charles Hack & Achille Hairdequin who are know to have worked in Paris from 1894-1902.
Note the flower detail on chased on the lid, shoulders and base. Flowers, too, have been etched on to the glass. A flower forms the finial.
