A presentation three piece tea set dating from the first days of Queen Victoria’s reign

By Edward and John Barnard this set is of exceptional quality and weight.  Note the melon form and the chased flowers on the leaf shoulders.  The finial is in the form of a tight bud

The inscription on the base says:

Presented to Mr and Mrs Evans of Maesypandu by their friend Sir William Wynn, Governor of Sandown Fort , 18th April 1840.

Sandown Fort is on the Isle of Wight.  Maesypandu?
