A classic pair of heavy Edwardian English sterling silver sauce boats on shell feet with gadroon and shell border

Nil sine numine  – “nothing without the divine” is the motto of the Weld family of Lulworth Castle in Dorset, England. The family are descended from Sir Humphrey Weld, Lord Mayor of London in 1601 and were notable as a recusant family prior to Catholic Emancipation in the 19th century

Interestingly it is also the motto for Colorado
