Chrysanthemums generally symbolize longevity, fidelity, joy and optimism.  They bloom through the frost

These candlesticks by the “go to” silversmith, Wang Hing , have removable sconces – very much in the western style

Unlike western candlesticks these ones are not filled – all solid silver
