A Chinese Export silver hand mirror

The round back of the mirror has been repoussé worked with two four clawed dragons worked in the clouds.

There is magic pearl in the centre which forms a reserve for engraving

Two  more dragons have been cast and form the handle – most unusual

Four clawed dragons were usually reserved for the senior mandarins but we do sometimes see four claws on Chinese Export silver  items crafted for the foreigners
