A large Chinese Export silver oval tray. The centre of the tray is hand engraved with a bird nestling amongst flowering chrysanthemum branches.
Chrysanthemums bloom through the frost . The curled handles show the influence of the western Art Nouveau movement on the Chinese silversmiths in the early years of the 20th century.
Fine condition.
