A set of 103 pieces of Danish silver cutlery.
Champagne is the name of the design and the designer was Orla Vagn Mogensen. He was a furniture desgner and a silversmith in Denmark from 1949–75. Mogensen was also a top designer for Georg Jensen and produced some of the finest Danish silver and this set marked for 1960 is an excellent example.
There are 12 place settings of seven pieces – two large knives ; two sizes of spoons; two sizes of forks and a tea spoon
There are eight different serving pieces – salad servers; cold cuts server; bottle opener (from another era) ; a butter knife and salt spoons.
There are also six smaller serving forks and five sauce ladles
The bubbles design going up the handles brings the concept of champagne to life
