GEORGIAN SILVER SPOONS

Share

Description

A set of four Georgian silver spoons dating from 1809 – the same year that the electric lamp was first demonstrated!

The handles of these Georgian silver spoons were engraved and the bowls were chased and gilded in Victorian times when it became stylish for  “berry” spoons to be used  for serving fruits – strawberries and raspberries

These spoons are extra special because they are the work of Peter and William Bateman
