More than two hundred years old this three piece Georgian English sterling silver tea set is in fine condition. Made by William Eaton – a very well respected Georgian silversmith
The oval bodies have the traditional half gadrooned decoration with a shell detailed border and stand on four ball feet – a style much copied in later periods but this is the original.
The interiors of the sugar and cream are both gilded.
Note the flat hinge of the tea pot lid – mark of a true craftsman
