Here is a great champagne holder – this time from Vienna

There is mark of Diana’s head in a curved lozenge indicating that the holder was made in Vienna – in the last days of the Austro Hungarian Empire and dates from the 1870’s

Garlands curve around the holder against basket work detail with flowers.

This Viennese silver holder retains some of the original gilding
